Fund-raising event
cooked up huge financial success for Guest House
(February 2008)

The numbers are in! The 3rd annual IMD Guest House Foundation fund-raising event at the Chopping Block Cooking School was a resounding success. The event grossed more than $38,000, a $10,000 increase from 2007.

"The consistent growth with this event and our golf outing is tremendous," said John Janicik, Foundation board chairman and partner with the Chicago law firm of Mayer Brown LLP. "Hats off to all who supported the foundation and to the special events committee for planning such a fantastic evening."

More than 200 attendees braved some very wet weather on February 8th to come together for a night of good friends, gourmet cooking and one-of-a-kind auction items. The IMD Guest House Foundation's Special Events Committee and Board of Directors would like to extend a wholehearted thank you to those who attended and supported this fundraiser.

The charitable funds raised will directly benefit the families we serve,enabling the Foundation to continue our mission of providing a home-away-from-home for the families and loved ones of patients receiving care at one of the Illinois Medical District healthcare institutions.
