IMD Guest House Foundation Mission
The IMD Guest House Foundation was founded to provide a home away from home for families and friends of loved ones receiving care in the Illinois Medical District (IMD). The Guest House opened the doors of its temporary facility at the end of October 2005. It is located within walking distance from the IMD’s world-class medical institutions that include Rush University Medical Center, John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital and University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. The Guest House is temporarily located in a part of the Chicago Dwelling Association’s Medical Center Apartments, 1926 West Harrison St. (at the corner of Ogden Ave. and Harrison St.) in Chicago, Ill. The building is occupied primarily by doctors, residents, interns and students from the District’s healthcare institutions.
