• It is the largest single provider of care to people with AIDS in the Midwest.

Rush University Medical Center

• Rush is a teaching hospital with 934 beds.

• Rush was ranked Number 1 in cardiology and heart surgery in the Chicago area and appeared on 11 of 17 top 50 lists for various specialties nationally, including Geriatrics, Gynecology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery by U.S. News and World Report.

University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center

• UIC is the largest state-owned hospital in Illinois with 508 beds and serving 397,600 outpatients yearly.
