On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, if you register as a guest at Guest House, you will need to submit the names and contact information for additional guests in your party. In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected are:

The Way We Use Information:
We use the personal contact name information (including email address) you provide about yourself, or about someone else, only for the internal purposes of  Guest House. We do not share this information with third parties except to the extent necessary, such as to provide a registration list to a vendor hosting a fundraising. In such cases, the third party will not share your information with any additional party. We may also share your information with our affiliates or otherwise in connection with the sale, merger or reorganization of Guest House.

We use return email addresses to acknowledge activity such as donations, and to answer the email we receive.

You can register on our website if you would like to receive our newsletter, participate in a fundraising event, or create a donor profile in our database. Information you submit on our website will not be used for these purposes unless you fill out and submit the registration form.

Finally, we will not use or share your personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first asking for your consent to share such information and also providing you with an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, we reserve the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to fulfill your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation into a public safety matter.

Our Commitment to Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures that we feel are appropriate to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We use Authorize.net and Vantiv for our payment processing needs, and we do not store any of your payment card information on our systems or process your payment card transactions.  To our knowledge, Authorize.net and Vantiv are compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy:
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to intentionally attract anyone under 13.

How You Can Access or Correct Your Information
If you create a donor profile or volunteer profile online, you will also create a secure login and password. If you have a profile, you can access and update all your personally identifiable information that we maintain by logging in to edit your profile. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

If you register as a guest, you can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by contacting us directly using the contact information set forth below.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy became effective on December 1, 2017. From time to time, it may be necessary for us to change our privacy policy, so we suggest that you check here periodically. We may also provide notice to you in other ways in our discretion, such as through contact information you have provided. Any changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised privacy policy unless otherwise specified and your continued use of the website after the effective date of the revised privacy policy (or such other act as specified in the revised privacy policy) will constitute your consent to those changes.
